Maurice Restaurant Francais, South Paris

We have been here several times with relatives that consider this there most favorite restaurant within many miles. The staff is always outgoing and friendly and the food has never dissapointed us. We were even there on a New Years Eve and our reservation was on time, the food superbly prepared and hot; this can not be said for many 5 Star Restaurants on one of the busiest nights of the year...Our hats are off to this fine establishment. We look forward to returning very, very, soon.

Maurice serves up the best French Quisine in the Oxford Hills, and still would even if they weren't the only one's serving it up! I have been there many times over the years, and have never EVER left disapionted. The staff are friendly, not stuffy , and the food is affordable, and amazing!

Absolutely wonderful????You people don't get out much. The food was greasy,bland and took forever to get. And the place was empty.

The Head Chef here is truly talented beyond imagine! The food is terrific, and the prices are amazing!!! The waitresses are wonderful and polite! I had a steak that was so delicately cooked, it was soooo tender and juicy and so easy to chew! The New England Clam Chowder was AWESOME! Everything tasted so fresh and most of all you don't need to break the bank to get a 5-star platter! I think the chowder cost me like $4, and the Steak was about $14! It seemed like the place was full but it didn't take them long to bring me my appetizer and by the time I was finished with that, I asked if they served bottled beer, and they do! It was perfect, a steak, a cold beer, and everything was perfect. Just a perfect way to relax from a long day and not go bankrupt doing so! My rating? 5 stars and a wink!

I love this place! I haven't been for dinner because I think they require a suit, but I have had many wonderful lunches here. It's great to have the option of fine, french cuisine for such a reasonable price and it's not the least bit scary. Save some room for a rich, decadent dessert! If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to give Maurice a try.

I have been going to this restaurant for years. It has always exceeded expectations for food and service. It is also the best prepared food in this area. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you want great food and very good service this is the place to go.

All the waitresses were very, very friendly and always smiled!!! The menu was full of a variety of food that could satisfy any craving of the day....not only that but your food comes out hot, and very, very delicious!!!! This is no normal restraunt...it definately goes above and beyond a normal setting but stay at a very affordable price! Two thumbs up!!!!

Full menu, reasonable wine list, elegant service/setting. I had the special -- a rib-eye smothered in a honey/onion glaze. It came perfectly cooked, and very delicious, accompanied by zucchini and potatoes au gratin. The zucchini especially was wonderful -- just lightly cooked and nicely seasoned. All preceded by a cup of wonderful thick/frothy potato/leek soup. A somewhat relaxed attitude towards promptness, perhaps, but not bad -- kind of European... :-) Anyhow, the experience was very relaxing and satisfying. Recommended. Attire varies from casual elegant to red suspenders and baseball /johndeere /snowmobile caps. Not to worry! :-)
