The batter on the clams was so thick, my son had to scrape it off to find a clam! We also tried a medley of seafood. Everything tasted the same. I hate giving bad reviews, but was very disappointed with the food.
I am 62 my first eat out experience was before i was old enough to know about it. I habe never had a bad meal. the waiting is something else but it is always worth it. This place started as a little snack shack years ago and grew up into this fine restaurant our waitress at the time was Pauline Polly if i remember right. The one in lewiston is great also I never go out of state without stopping at either. Anybody that goes at either knows there is always a line. If the 88 year old mom wanted that fast service, she should have gone to McDonalds which by the way is not so fast either.
Years ago we used to visit this restaurant all the time. Goodness how times has changed this place. I honestly have never been so frustrated having lunch. My 88 year old mother was with me and I didn't think she would make it through that loooooooooooooong ordeal. Took forever to get our overcooked meal. Mother barely ate so she decided to take it home. Big mistake as we had to wait another 20 minutes to get a box. We literally saw people get up and leave as they just didn't get waited on. Horrible experience and one I will not repeat ever again. I had to give this a 1 star rating because it made me. It does not deserve 1 star. Needs more help, needs clean up, needs better cooks.
