Big fan of this place. They make true wood-baked pizza: the oven and the whole operation are fully visible in the corner of the restaurant. They are big on natural ingredients. They are good at handling big groups. The atmosphere is really comfortable. Great pizza, great beer. Great place.

I absolutely love this place. I think I could eat only this the rest of my life. Amazing fresh and quality ingredients, also organic. They also have great daily specials like tomato, basil, and fresh sliced mozarella flatbread. My ultimate favorite is Jay's Heart topped with Kalamata olives. YUMMY! :) Disadvantage: Sometimes you have to be willing to wait. There are a lot of people who come here to eat, especially on the weekends. They can only fit so many flatbreads in the fired-lit oven.

This is the best pizza in Portland. When you walk in the hostess greets you with a warm, friendly smile. At peak times (evenings and weekends) there is usually a wait but they are very good at keeping the wait time to a minimum. The restuarant has an open layout, with a bar, a nice seating area in the corner with comfy couchs which is perfect for a large party. The rest of the seating is centered around the large oven where all the pizzas are cooked. The view of the harbor is amazing and in the summer always active. The service is almost always prompt and friendly. They have a delicious, simple salad available with fresh locally grown veggies. The pizzas are made in two sizes, half and whole. A whole can feed two to three people. They have a large selection of ingredients that you can pick and choose for your pizza, all organic and most from local vendors. They also have an excellent selection of seasonal ingredients. Their specials, the carnivore and vegetarian pizzas are always different and always delicious. No matter what you're in the mood for, you will be deeply satisfied. You can even watch your pie being made. On a busy night be prepared to wait a little longer than on a slower night, there are only so many spots in the oven. The guys who make your pizza bring it to your table nice and hot right out of the oven (after cutting it of course). They also have nice desserts. They always have the homemade brownie and the warm apple crisp, both served with organic vanilla ice cream. I would send anyone looking for a delicious alternative to the many seafood restuarants that you find in the Old Port area. Good service, excellent environment and outstanding pizza!

Look, a pizza joint is still a pizza joint. This is a pizza joint that sells all organic flat bread pizza. The pizza is expensive -- 14 to 18 dollars for a 10 to 12 inch. The cost of drinks is typical restaurant rates. The ambiance is hippie. The wait staff are just weird -- either they're trippy, or they have an attitude like "I'm too good for this job (of bringing a pizza to the table)", or they forget. I don't go here anymore because I don't need the attitude, and the pizza just isn't THAT good, but its fun on a whim if you've never been.

Flatbread Pizza is excellent! Using ingredients mostly purchased from local farms they make an excellent Flatbread pizza which is cooked in an open fire oven. The oven is centrally located which adds to the warmth and welcome, relaxing, and romantic feel of the restaurant. They also have microbrews on tap to add to the dinning pleasure. What a great place, go there!

I went to Flatbread for the first time and I would give the food 4 stars. It was excellent pizza, but the service was just ok. Everyone seemed to be moving very slow and our waitress was not very personable. It might have just been a bad night, I will definately try it again
