Yosaku Japanese Restaurant, Portland

Good food. Great Service. One of the better restaurants in Portland.

The owner of this restaurant is one of the nicest people around. He is a really great guy, the service is very efficient and the food is excellent. The sushi is always fresh, the menu has a lot of choices and they offer some unique dishes as well, not found in other local Japanese restaurants. I tried the "Lobster Kampai", which starts with lobster sashimi, followed by cooked lobster maki rolls and finished with an absolutely incredible lobster soup with the rest of the lobster. The soup itself should be on the menu as a separate item, it is just sooooo good. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Portland.

The owner of this restaurant was truly cruel to me and my guests while I was there celebrating my birthday 3 years ago. I will continue to boycott this restaurant. Customer service far exceeds quality of food.

Awesome sushi, the best I have had in Maine so far.

My boyfriend and I go to this place A LOT! We have been to every sushi restaurant in the greater Portland area, and we both agree that yosaku has the freshest sushi in town! Also great unique menu, excellent miso soup, very good service, and nice stiff drinks! We also go for the 3 roll combo for 10bucks at lunch! Can't beat that! We just love this place!!

I went here for the first time ever trying sushi. Now I cant get enough. I have tried other places but still crave Yosaku Maine Roll!

Simply excellent. If you get the chance, and the weather cooperates, ask to be seated outside by the beautifully constructed pond and waterfall. The food is great and the presentation is well done.

Tuc used to work for Benkay & IMHO is the 1 whom made the rave reviews of benkay. Since then Tuc opened Yosaku & many staff followed him there. Go Tuc~ #1 in Portland.
