No matter what the occasions, Norm's.
Norm's is always a classic Portland eatery. Having grown and expanded twice, once to the east end at Norm's East End BBQ, and then across the street (forming what is use to be Norm's into "Norm's Downtown Lounge") No matter what Norm's you go to, you're in luck. The food is excellent with a good mix of Tapas, and reasonably price entree's of American faire. Norm's on Congress Street can however be extremely busy on the weekends (there is a waiting list average wait is about :30 minutes), I would go early if you have other engagements to get to. The bar tenders are always friendly and are heavy handed, the wait staff is hit or miss sometimes excellent other times completely inattentive depending on the night. Norms is also sometimes extremely noisy depending on the night and how busy it gets. Expect a good time however, the atomsphere is great, the staff is friendly and the food is always a sure thing for people of any tastes.
