I thought there food was fair but nothing like China Villa down the street. China Villa is my favorite. There food is delcious and I am getting hungry just thinkg about it now. Maybe I gotta go there nwo!
I love small chinese restaurants, they seem to be more authentic then the large ones. I was very pleased at the General's Chicken and the fried rice, some of the best i have ever had. Highly recommended.
You people commented how good the fried rice is but no one mentions their BBQ pork..... it is equally delicious, the meat is tender and juicy; it was perfectly cooked.
I am bring my daughter back the next time we are sight seeing up north again.
i'm not sure what happened to my old review.. it just disappeared.. that's weird..
i put a lot of time and effort into it.. pretty much it says this is a very good place for some good eats. whether it be quality chinese food or the stuff you want to stuff your face with after a night of drinking. it's rare outside of chinatowns but i found a place that offers the best of both chinese food worlds.
I had read the previous reviews and went to this restaurant based on them and it was a huge mistake. I paid $45.00 for the worst food I have ever had. The egg rolls tasted like they had fish in them, and the pork fried rice was burnt so bad that that was all I could taste and even an hour after attempting to eat there that is all I could still taste in my mouth. I don't know who did the cooking for the other patrons but surely it could not have been the same food that they gave rave reviews to. I say to stay away from this establishment unless you like burnt and sub par food.
A wonderful place, the food is top notch, always! A relative of mine lives next door and the owner is very kind to her. Last snowstorm, he uncovered her car for her without being asked! He is a good neighbor, the staff are always gracious and friendly. Their chicken fried rice is quite exceptional, very high in quality!
Such a lovely place, I encourage everyone to stop by!
my wife and I have been eating here for years and have never had any complaints. If you are looking for a chinese restaurant that has wonderful asthetics, then look somewhere else. But, if you are looking A+ chinese food that will knock your socks off, look no further than Northern Gardens. The food is well prepared and is fresh the moment you order it. The prices are very reasonable as well. Take out is best unless you don't mind feeling a bit claustrophobic, but other than that no one does it better. Give em a try..........
