Rose's Old World Restaurant, Windham

Tonight was the last night we get food from Rose's. The take-out is really hit or miss. The fried ravioli is our favorite but you can't justify the price, plus, I wonder if it's pre-made... perhaps that is why it's good? The marinara sauce is extremely salty. Tonight it was a blend of oily, chunky and watery --- yuck! The spaghetti was overcooked and the takeout dish had about a half inch of water in the bottom. The meatballs were also gross... overcooked! $45 for this!? We'll get food from somewhere else next time.

Food and service have always been excellent. When you took the salad bar out you made a mistake. The items were always fresh and consistant. Your new salad service sucks. It is not the same and we really miss it and I am sure I am not the only one. Some one tell the owner to bring it back please.

The food is of average quality, the service is adequate, prices are over the top. No thanks! Pats Pizza is a MUCH better deal.

Great Italian restaurant. More food than anyone can eat. Most meals come with endless salad at the salad bar and all comes with bread. Pasta sauce tastes homemade and all pasta dishes I have eaten there are delicious. They cook the pizza right in eye view which is also amazing. I prefer thin crust and that's exactly what I get here. I am surprised by the bad reviews. I have never heard a bad complaint from friends who have been there. Also, get there for the early bird special and they have tons of great food with great deals!

Best Italian food in southern Maine. Great family restaurant, friendly service, delicious food. I've never had a bad meal from here no matter what I order. I think the bad reviews must have been written by Pat's Pizza employees lol. My favorites are the Fried Ravioli, Aglio Di Olio, and the Formaggio pizza.

Highly recommended! I'm from New Jersey, so my family is very discriminating about pizza and Italian food, but Rose's is just about the best pizaa and Italian food we've ever had. The wood burning over gets the crust just right! My favorites were the thin crust pizza and the sausage calzone. Their tomato sauce is great; so fresh, chunky, and sweet! A great experience. Seating is limited, so we had to wait five or ten minutes for a table, but it's definitely worth it. Best family food in Windham!
