Jackie's Too Restaurant, Ogunquit

I was lucky enough to get a table with a friend on Memorial Day weekend with very little wait. We sat right out on the deck with the gorgeous view. I can't remember then name of the appetizer, but it was a spicy shrimp thing that I wish we got two orders of....SO GOOD! It also had a special tartar sauce that goes with it - they should make that their house sauce! I had the fried haddock sandwich and my friend had the lobster roll. It's nice to see a place that gives substantial sides - a whole bunch of big thick steak fries! Yum!! Our waitress was super nice and kept giving us drinks without asking!!! I can't wait to go back! :)

My Dad, sister, and I attempted to eat at Jackie’s Too at Perkin’s Cove today. Since it was such a nice day we wanted to eat out on the deck. However my sister discovered that both entrances to the deck had threasholds about 1 inch high. Since her electric chair weighs about 500 lbs, it cannot get over things like this. The hostess was very full of attitude and could not understand and did not care that my sister was not happy about this situation. Given the hostess’s attitude we felt the restaurant did not deserve our business and decided to check out another restaurant. The hostess did ask if my sister wanted to talk to the owner and she said yes. We were just outside the door waiting and the hostess asked if she was going to come in to see the owner. my sister said “oh I thought she was coming out here” to which the hostess said “well she is 70 years old with bad knees, I’m not sending her out here”. Ah my sister is in a wheelchair!?!? So she did go in to talk to the woman. In the meantime the miss priss of a hostess said to herself, “like I built the place”. I told her “you know this attitude is not going to help you”. So then the hostess got in my face and said “she is taking her problem out on me”. I tried to explain that my sister was trying to explain the problem to her, but the idiot just kept saying “she is taking her problem out on me”. So I just walked away. My sister got nowhere with the owner also. The owner told her “you will not be able to eat outside anywhere here”. Well we went right across the parking lot and had a great meal at Barnacle Bill’s OUTSIDE! So Jackie’s Too is deserving to lose some business. Spread the word!

My boyfriend and I recently had dinner at Jackie's Too and I have to say it was one of the best meals ever - unforgettable outside/patio views (just a rope between us and the ocean) and the food was incredible! We both had fettuccine Alfredo, his with chicken and broccoli, and mine with seafood. There was SO much seafood (lobster, scallops, shrimp) in mine that I didn't get to finish it and neither of us even came close to finishing our pasta (it was a HEAPING bowl with very rich, creamy sauce). EXCELLENT! We did have to wait about 30 minutes but Perkin's Cove is such a wonderful place to walk around - everything is right there, close...and plenty of benches to sit and watch the ocean. Absolutely beautiful. We'll definitely return next time!
