Description

Bahamian specialties are served at this casual downtown restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and the dress code is semi-casual (no bathing suits.) Breakfast includes Bahamian specialties (souses, stews, etc.) and American favorites (pancakes, eggs, etc.) Other hours, you can enjoy local favorites like Steamed Snapper, Cracked Conch and Kalik beer. Don't miss Happy Hour, every day between 5p and 7p. This is a good place to chat with friends or coworkers. Seating is mainly indoors and is fairly quiet most of the time.

Not worth the effort it took to get there.

Becky's received good reviews online and also from Frommer's and Fodor's, but we were not impressed. However, that may not be because of this restaurant itself. We found the food not only here, but throughout the island, very bland. Becky's is a casual diner. It is not far from the International Bazaar. From appearances, it looks like it would be a great local dive that's inconspicuously good. But it was only average fair. Our bill was about $40 for (basically)fish & chips and drinks for two. It wasn't horrible, just not worth the effort to go back again.

Food was excellent

The food was great and the price was economical. Located right next to a bus stop so we didn't have to walk far after dinner to go back to port lucaya.
