Doctor's Cave Bathing Club
When you need to cool off while in Montego Bay, this spot is more than just a great beach; it is steeped in history and legend. Donated in the 1900s by a wealthy doctor, the Doctor's Cave legend began in 1920 when an article was published about the healing powers of the water that laps its shores. People flocked here from around the world for its supposed curing powers. Today the beach has improved even more, with its well-kept, sandy shoreline and crystal clear water. Extra amenities make your visit to this beach convenient, from restrooms, showers and changing areas to a restaurant and cyber-cafe. Beach chairs and umbrellas are also available for rental. This is a welcome spot for cruise ship visitors who want to relax on one of Jamaica's nicest beaches
look for "brian" the lifeguard. he is a great source of information. i usually go to this beach all day every day.
clean, free of debris or trash. chair and umbrella rental.
a bucket of beers and an appetizer or a frosty frozen beverage is always delicious.
good for families and singles.
best of all. it's safe.
This hotel has a message in each room to use your towels sparingly because clean towels are a luxury not a necessity and they aren't received daily. The rooms are decent but not very clean. The front desk service leaves a lot to be desired. They never even mention the Doctor's Cave Beach facility across the street. You must discover that on your own. The hotel workers are very docile and they never smile. The restaurant is very expensive and the drinks are over the top expensive. We couldn't wait to set foot back on American soil. Bring plenty of money to Jamaica... the con artists of the Carribean.
