Cook's Lobster House
Since 1955, we have been serving lobsters fresh from the waters surrounding Bailey Island. All of our seafood and meats are of the highest quality. Our lobster, shrimp, scallops and shellfish are purchased right at our wharf to ensure supreme freshness. We are a destination for tour groups. You can take Nature Cruises, fishing and sailing charters right from our dock, hold a lobster bake or a wedding on Cook's Point, and watch lobstermen bring in their catch on our wharf. We also hold many special events during the year such as beer and wine dinners, fireworks in July, tuna and sport fishing tournaments among others. Join our Cook's Fan Club at left to be notified of our upcoming events! In 1998, Cook
The ride to Cook's is awsome, great views at every turn. When you arrive your surrounded by what I call Maine at it's best. The ocean, working boats in the harbor bringing in fresh lobster and the worlds only Cribstone bridge. The moment you walk in the restaurant, you feel like you found why you came to Maine. The interior is rustic.Food and service exellent.4lb lobster or lobster roll, both were great. We even saw a rainbow during dinner. We strolled along the beach and collected sea glass after our meal. The sunset was amazing.Don't miss this one when you go to Maine.
I ate at two restaurants on Bailey Island, Cook's Lobster House and Estes II. Cook's did have a full bar which was nice, and the food was good, but the prices were astronomical. I couldn't believe the price difference for virtually the same menu between the two restuarants. Estes II was by far the better deal and in my opinion had a much better view. Next time I take my friends out I will take them to Estes, which I now consider the best kept secret on Bailey Island.
Cook's is a great Maine seafood restaurant located on the waterfront on Bailey Island. It is open year-round, though the hours are shorter outside of the summer season. The lobster casserole is awesome. It is a bit of a drive from Portland, but if you are in the area, it is definitely the best place to eat.
