Erasmus Bruin-Cafe

Description

This multipurpose establishment is decorated in a typically Dutch style. Here you can spend some time seeing the bikes on display or listening to jazz musicians who perform from time to time. Customers are generally young and liberal and enjoy imported beer, the house specialty when this place also becomes a pub at nightfall. On the menu, try the hot goats milk cheese or the wild boar and venison pâte. The one-kilo "morucha" (beef) T-bone steak, which clients prepare on hot plates, is also recommended. They also serve great meat or cheese fondues. As for dessert, you should try their brownie with raspberry sauce, a delicious chocolate fondue that you eat with fresh fruit. You should book a table on weekends.

biggest sirloin in salamanca
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/20/09
really enjoyed this place, got a couple of sirloins and chips (fancied a taste of home), huge steaks, great value, ie 2 steaks, chips, salads, bottle of wine came to under 40 euro. nice setting, sit ourside watch the world go by. The do great offers on their beer, eg on sundays its only 2 euro a pint of guinness up to 6pm. great value since a pint of guinness is 3.60 eveywhere else!! Menu in english & spanish and staff speak both. highly recommended.

Counting the days for our return
By Larry Paul, 10/4/05
We loved their Orgasmus wine that is made for Erasmus Cafe. The Shrimp scrambled eggs were to die for. The setting is perfect for a group of friends, or a romantic dinner for two. Their is no wrong time to visit Erasmus Cafe, just remember that everything closes for tea time every day.
