For something really different, try the night market in Phuket Town . Surrounding the Robinson Ocean Department Store , it offers a wealth of Thai, Chinese and Muslim cooked meals and sweets. Stalls are set up from about 5p and it is the perfect place to try inexpensive curries, noodles and fried rice. The building was originally built to house the fresh food market, but local residents decide they preferred their old one, hence it became the place for the hot food vendors.
