Charley Brown's Mexican Restaurant, Khlong Toei Nuae

Definitely one of the best nights i have had out in Bangkok. We went to this joint last week for a quick dinner and stayed for hours! Very relaxed place, great music and most of all food and drinks a hit. Very friendly manager and helpful and smiley staff. Will be sure to be back soon.

We first went to Charley Brown's in 1991 when it was still located in Town in Town, back in the day when you could not (easily) get there from Sukhumvit. Even back then, the Tex-Mex food was the best to be had in Thailand, if not Southeast Asia. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was still going strong in 1999 when we returned to Bangkok and held many a family celebration there until 2003. We will definitely come back to see how things are going at the new location on Soi 11 (so close to our former residence that I can't believe it!) and have every expectation that the food and service will be as good, if not better, than we remember it. While the new location will probably make it difficult to hold the classic car cruise-ins that I used to organize at the former location, the atmosphere and decor will no doubt bring back fond memories.

this is hands down the best Tex-Mex i have found in Asia! chilled and relaxed atmosphere and HUGE margaritas to compliment the great food. even personal service from the english manager.....didn't expect that to be fair but for the best tex-mex in bkk this is where you want to be! FANTASTIC!

Went to Charley Browns last week for my daughter's 10th birthday. Friendly, helpful service, tasty food and even the odd margarita for Dad! Highly recommend going especially with family Josh

All gooooood, (with my best soythern drawl.) From the salsa with warm chips to the fajitas, very impressed by the standard seeing we are 9787 miles from Mexico city! Almost forgot the margaritas were gooooood too!

Just flew in from India for R & R, and was told by a fellow traveller on board that there was a new Mexican in town. I made my way right to Charley Brown's that night and had such a pleasant evening. Everything from the quesadillas thru to the fajitas and Margaritas were soooooo good. We ate and ate and ate.... coming from India i was craving some good mexican and was totally suprised as to the quality, better than many joints back home in LA. Enough to say, highly recommended and when i'm back in town will for sure be back to sample some more.

All round a good dining experience, food was fresh and tasty and the service was prompt, but not in your face like most restaurants in bangkok. Cold cold beers.

Great place, great ffod, great decor and very relaxing. Food was delicious and very generous portions, even took some home! a must try.... who said bangkok did not have any good mexican ?
