Way back in 1992, Dick Clark stopped over at this hip Tex- Mex joint and had a meal. If you aren't a Dick Clark fan, then come for the food anyway. Browse through the incredible collection of memorabilia, such as beer cans, baseball caps, posters and car knick knacks, all shipped in from the States. The menu has the staple but very authentic enchiladas, tacos and burritos though the favorite dish here is the Charley Brown platter, which consists of cheese and chicken Enchiladas, Beef Taco and beans, served with rice.

Why do people out of their league try to assimilate Mexican food? At best the food is sub-mediocre Thai-Mex food!! Just drink some poorly made margaritas and that's it. Food is terrible.

Tasty Tacos!

As an expat Texan who doesn't have access to a lot of Mexican food anymore, this place was a tasty bit of home. So, my taste buds may be a little biased, but the food here was good - fresh guacamole, yummy tacos with a nice spice to the meat, and great fresh salsa. My only complaint is the price- in the land of cheap and tasty food, this is pricy... but worth it!

Great food - shame about the music

Me and my husband went to Charley Browns after some friend's recommended it. We had a really good time the staff were very freindly and fast. The food was excellent. Especially the chicken wings and fajjitas and we both loved the margaritas. The only problem was the music all old pop songs from England. Some customers are not English and not 40 years old!

Very authentic Tex-Mex food served in good sized portions. Reasonably priced and very good quality. Great atmosphere and plenty of Americana on the walls. We will definitely be back...

Rock Chalk Jayhawk Bangkok!

I was having a craving for tex-mex food and had heard about this place from some colleagues of mine at the school I teach here in Bangkok. So my husband and I go eagerly awaiting a descent Mexican meal in Bangkok. Well not only was the food great, margarita's a smash, but as I am visually perusing the fun decor I was shocked to notice JAYHAWK memorabilia on the walls and being a Jayhawk Alum I new we had made the perfect choice! Jayhawk's in Bangkok I'm thinking to myself? Can't get any better than that!

Good for Thailand

Let's get real here, this ain't no American style Mexican food. But it was good for Thai Mexican food. Limited selections but all was well prepared. Margaritas were good but still not like North America. It is well run and I didn't worry about the quality of the food, a concern here if you don't know who is running a place. It wasn't expensive but it wasn't cheap either.

It's really good!

I decided to try Charley Brown's because of the reviews from this website and I agree with all the comments other people have given. My husband and I had dinner there yesterday, the food is good .. real Mexican. Of course, the Margarita is excellent (both original and strawberry). Really looking forward to take my friends there very very soon.

Ladies night out

we recently had our monthly lady's night out at charley"s. we ended up dancing on the tables..... which the manager after letting us have some fun ended! good food, BIG margaritas, lots of fun. will be back. Jilly

Love this place.

Run by a really friendly young British guy. Amazing food. Try the taco salad with beef, I was in heaven. Great tequilia, though the booze was a little pricey. (Though you can go to the 60bht bar that is about 10 steps away after a delicious meal.) Try this place out, for sure! Really close to skytrain station.

This place was buzzing last saturday night, such a cool place, very authentic tastey food and good value for money. Probably the best mexican i've found in Bangkok. Oh, the margaritas are worth a visit too.
