Best Chinese Food in Barcelona
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/07
Our family spent a week in Barcelona. After experimenting with Spanish cuisine in the first few days, we were ready for some good Chinese food. We are used to authentic Chinese cuisine from Los Angeles (where we live) to Hong Kong, so our standard is high. A short subway ride took us to the restaurant, which is hidden on a quiet residential street, but not very hard to find armed with good directions from the hotel concierge.
The decor is tastefully done, better than most in LA. The Cantonese cuisine is authentically prepared by chefs from Hong Kong. Try the local steamed fish (one of the best we've ever had), the stirred fried shrimp, the Peking duck, Cantonese fried rice and the special house soup. The service is very friendly.
We went back twice. The concierge at Le Meridien agreed that Memorias de China has the best Chinese food in Barcelona.
