Ardoise (L'), Paris

Had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant that was recommended by the hotel concierge. The waitress was not able to answer appropriate questions about the menu. The scallops were essentially raw and had absolutely no taste except for the oil/butter and parsley that they were drenched in. The bread was tough and chewy. The "seafood soup" was just brown salty water with no seafood in it. The ratatouille had raw herring fish on it. The creme brulee had jelly on the bottom and the tart crust tasted as if it were made days ago. The filet of beef with potatoes was, however, above average. For this, we paid over $200. Stay away.
