Brasserie Du Louvre, Paris

We ate there at least four times during our week stay in Paris. Every meal was excellent, especially the mussels, salad and fries. The ambience, service and people watching is all part of a wonderful meal there.

It's a really wonderful place. The ambience is great, the waiting stuff polite and attentive (which is more than you can ask for in Paris, ESPECIALLY if you're not fluent in French) and the food at worst solid and at best superb (though not always adventurous). It is a bit on the dear side, but well worth it and probably has an edge over the cafe de la paix (where the service is consistently poor and haughty).

Great atmosphere, wait staff were attentive. I should be greatful for even that much in Paris, but I was just let down. The food was bordering on boring, and the price chaffed. If I pay that much I expect something higher in quality. Even the Foie Gras was below my expectations. I will however applaud the seafood bisque... it was the highlight of the meal.
