This second venture of Joel Robuchon is known to be less annoying compared to its former counterpart L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon as they accept reservations. The place and the cuisine both have a modern touch to it. The Silken Gazpachos topped with fresh almonds are a must have. The crab and avocado dish is placed on a China egg and is served on a stone slab along with red ladles. Another must have is La Tarte aux Legumes Crus et Confits and for dessert the Le Pastel Delice. The meal can end with an espresso and a small plate of fresh caramel filled chocolates.
I highly recommend Robuchon's La Table Restaurant to everyone who wants to taste excellent French food.
The good points are:
*there is someone to park your car, so no need to turn round and round in the streets of Paris to look for a parking place
*you are warmly welcomed by the staff
*the tables and seats are comfortable with cosy ambiance
*the 'captain' is humorous, and English speaking too!
*The food is excellent -- exquise, refine and simply yummy -- try the cooked foie-gras!!
*Don't leave without eating desserts, the best that I've tasted so far
Although the 'captain' translated the menu to us, it wasn't easy to remember all that he said, especially when he bombarded the long list of desserts to us. I wish there were English menus.
