This restaurant is located inside a four star hotel with a black and red decor. You can expect carefully prepared dishes by Paris's very own Joel Robuchon. Must haves include Lamb Cutlets with Smoked Salmon or Pan-fried Asparagus with Comte Cheese. If that's not what you fancy, then try the scrumptious Braised Duckling and Caramelized Quail. There is also a wide selection of wines from California, Australia, Argentina, Spain and Italy. Apart from French cuisine, the chef also serves delicious sushi with crusty baguettes.
I feel really taken advantage of by this restaurant. Unfortunately one must beware incomplete information when ordering daily "specials". Last week as I was ordering the waiter really pushed the fresh asparagus appetizer, which he said was not to be missed. I would not have ordered it but did so on his recommendation. Upon receiving the bill I learned that the cost of the plate of asparagus was 40 euros. A $60 plate of asparagus???
This is the best chance to eat at one of the best chefs in France without having to sell your home and in a young and fun place.
The Atelier is a long bar, designed beautifully with wine and food products.
We came without reservations and we needed to wait for 45 until we got a place on the bar, but it was worth the wait.
We order the "discovery meal" for 110 Euros and got a set of 10 excellent dishes that made the 2 hours that we spent their a long celebration of tastes and colors.
