Awful. Frozen frites for €31!?

My last night of a short stay in Paris, I had to decide between going to an old favorite, Chez Réne, or trying something new. Rather than visit the same restaurant twice in the same trip (quel faux pas!), I ventured into Brasserie Lipp. Let me sum the entire visit up for you: I was greeted by a very rude maître d', who seated me as if it were an enormous burden to do so. I asked him for a salad recommendation, and he brought one with beets and hard boiled eggs that was borderline disgusting. For my main, I ordered the filet with bearnaise, saignant. When it arrived, to my shock it was served with FROZEN frites, worse than McDonalds. If I knew more French, I would've promptly returned it and walked out. I simply could not accept such horrible food for outrageous prices.
Now I've found out that this place is a small international chain, with locations in (of all places) Sweden. Avoid this if you want a nice dinner in Paris; go to Chez Réne up the street instead.
