This old-fashioned 19th century bistro is called the Grizzli cafe because decades ago it used to have dance performances by bears. The owner gets his ingredients all the way from Pyrenees. You can also choose from an interesting selection of wines from Southern France. Dishes like the Salmon and the lamb are cooked on a hot plate. There is no lunch served on Mondays and Saturdays. This place is closed on Sundays.
We went here summer of '09. I do not regret this wonderful expierence. My favorite meal on the menu would have to be the steak frites. If you are looking for a nice desert get the Molten Lava Chocolate Cake. It takes 15 minutes to prepare and is to die for. My family and I have already planned our trip back next year.
The ambience, style, etc. I went there once with a Japanese client and another time with my (now) wife. She loved it and raved about it more that the other lovely, famous and significantly more expensive meal on the next night!
They were very busy but got us in quickly. Great service, good choices on the menu and they translated for those of us Americans who don't know all the menu items.
Meal was excellent (we had lamb) and the dessert (fraise tart) was to die for. Excellent wine list.
Price-wise was no more or less expensive than any of the others that we'd been to in Paris.
