Pirate Soul, Key West

Pirate Soul closed July 31st 2010 to move all the contents to St. Augustine, FL

Our family thought it was a bit expensive for what we actually saw. It was an okay place but not super interesting. Even my 8 year old son thought it a bit boring. Of coarse there is always the gift shop at the end which you have to hurry your children through so they don't eye up all the I can't live withouts at the end.

This place is awesome! The outside plays music to Pirates of the Caribbean. Right before walking in to this dark atmosphere, there is a spot for a funny picure. They do discourage you from taking pictures once inside, to preserve the history of the artifacts. Inside you learn what like was like at sea. Learn about some of the most famous pirates of the world. Plus there are a few of their goods here. There is a dark room that is a must to sit in a do. I won't give it away, but grown men were afraid. So I had to do it. Loved it! Gonna do it again in Feb 08.

Not your standard artifacts in cases. Walk thru displays and treasure from pirates & ships people have actually heard of such as Blackbeard's ships log. WAY COOL STUFF! Jo & Ollie

What a great museum!!! The artifacts are beautiful and plentiful. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of a piratical battle. There are many interactive exhibits so its not just one of those "read and look" museums. It is an "experiance it first hand" museum. Don't miss out on the resturant next door. Great live entertainment, food, boose, and service. Great place to go for your next holiday.

The place is wonderful for kids of all ages!! My younger children and the older kids loved it!! We plan on coming back in a few months to see some more of the exciting exhibits. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. Capt. Spike was amazing to the kids and a wealth of information!!

At first, my family went to Pirate Soul because the kids have been crazy about pirates ever since the first Pirates of the Caribbean came out. Now i am just as obsessed with those ruthless thieves! The museum is jam packed with information regarding all aspects of pirate life and death. It is equally as entertaining as it is educational, touch screens, 3D audio rooms, pistol demo and Blackbeard's talking head! Amazing!

I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience as I was brought back 300 years and time. And I was fascinated with the authenic artifacts combined with the 21st technology that was so interactive. It was the most fun history lesson I could ever imagine.
