For such a small shop, it has many unique items I can't find elsewhere. And their prices are pretty reasonable.
They just expanded their store, so now it's almost twice as big as it was the last time I visited.
The people there are friendly and very helpful. I didn't feel pressured into buying something although I did :) and I love it. They even offered me a two week return on my purchase.
They took the time to explain things to me and I really appreciate that. I don't usually run into people who do that.
I often think of San Diego as an Asian antique wasteland. We're so close to Mexico, and we're not quite as big or as culturally developed as Los Angeles, New York, or other large metropolitan cities.
That's why it was so exciting to find this gem of a store. Although it is small, it has some of the most exquisite Japanese and Chinese items I have seen in a while. And to top it off, they are very reasonably priced. The store offers a guarantee on everything they sell.
They also offer custom shoji door, fusuma, and tatami mats, Feng Shui consultation, and appraisal services. Their staff is very friendly, and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and to make sure the bronze figure I bought worked for my home.
If youre ever in San Diego and youre looking for a unique Asian item to accent your home or office, Id highly recommend you stop by E.W. Gallery.
