Built in 1856 and designed by the noted architect Abner Cook, this stately home has a two-story portico with paired columns. Originally known as the John Milton Swisher house, it once stood on San Antonio Street, but was later moved to Sweetbrush. For many years, Swisher-Scott House was the home of noted Austin native Zachary Scott—an actor. This is a private home and was added in 1998 to the National Register of Historic Places.
