Description
You have to admire their stated mission: \"To be the greatest neighborhood eatery in the known universe.\" They offer appetizers such as spicy lobster crab cakes, a variety of soups and burgers, sandwiches and wraps, and entrees like scallop pie and pan-seared medallions of beef with wild mushroom raviolis.
This is a really fun place on weekends, food is good, prices are reasonable, close to shops and ski resorts, large bar, several floors, family friendly, always a wait time.
WE JUST SPENT THE WEEK IN NH AND HORSEFEATHERS WAS THE BEST IN THE AREA FOR QUALITY AND PRICE OF FOOD. TRULY ENJOYED THE CHOWDER- LOBSTER-CRAB CAKES AND STEAK AU POIVRE! WENT BACK AGAIN FOR MUNCHIES- WINGS AND QUESADILLA, WHICH WAS WONDERFUL TOO. CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN TO WHITE MOUNTAINS!
This place is always crowded and very well-known in the area. If you don't mind waiting for a table (or just a drink), you will probably enjoy the standard fare offered here. It's not bad, just nothing special.
This is an ok restaurant right in the middle of the town. It is always full, and the atmosphere is family oriented, but the food was just so-so. It is a good place to get together for an after concert or movie drink.
This restaurant was recomended to us by a friend. The wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Clean, well lit and comfortable. Food was very good and reasonably priced.
Just a downright perfect stop if you're looking for good beer and a filling meal. Since it's right in the middle of town, it's hard to miss. Can get busy due to it's central location but well worth the wait. Stop by the Met for coffee while you're waiting but don't pass this up.
We have always loved going to Horsefeathers. It has become a tradition when we come into town to go up to the 2nd floor lounge to listen to the live music, always good, and have a couple of drinks. If dinner is in sight, we eat downstairs and bring the remainder of our wine glass upstairs after a reliably satisfying meal at a fair price.

9 times out of 10 the food is good. Quite good, even.
The service is unpredictable. I have had great service, and such bad service that I considered never going back (a promised gift card form the manager to make up for terrible experience was never received- not great....)
We loved it. Friendly and outgoing place to be. We ate there over Christmas vacation last year and can't wait to go back this year. Desserts can be shared because they are huge! Yummy!
