It was great while it lasted... closed now.
By Deirdre H, 10/6/06
They say "You get what you pay for", and at CCB, you do, and more. I've never been disappointed here. From appetizers to dessert, everything is top notch. With fare that seems unusual in New Hampshire, I've had the opportunity to expand my cullinary horizons. Each time, I've been delighted. I heartilly recommend this restaurant to anybody living in or visiting Dover. It simply can't be beat.

Ok, some times iffy
By zabork, 3/13/06
When you enter Crescent City, you feel like you have just been transported to the French Quarter, with its party atmosphere, running fountain, and lively bar (a far cry from its beginnings). On a Friday night, it usually has a great vibe. I have eaten here a couple times, and more times than not, I have been disappointed by my food (and portion size). Not that it was bad, just not exceptional (especially for the price you are paying). Sometimes it feels like the chef is just trying to wow you with the number of exotic ingredients on the menu. Service has always been iffy as the last time I was there, our water was never refilled (spicy food with no water is tough). The drinks are fantastic, and they have a great/unique cask beer system. I haven't been back in awhile so maybe things have changed. I see that they are now doing lunch and a Sunday brunch.

Cool Creole Cuisine
By Sarah, 1/23/06
Seriouly, CCB is just all around terrific. The food is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and when you're done you can go upstairs to the Chop Shop and smoke cigars and play some pool. It's just fantastic. Even if you're not into cajun food or don't think you'd like New Orleans style food, you'd like this place. They really have something for everything and the menu changes every month. Go. You'll love it ! However, keep in mind, the food is worth the money, which in laymans terms means the food costs money. Not too bad though, you're looking at $12- $15 at the low end and $22- $25 at the high end for entrees. They have great appetizers too and a full bar, live music for Sunday brunch and great desserts. It's worth what you pay for.
