love this place!!! The best value in downtown Portsmouth. The atmosphere is dim, candles, warm, cozy. Servers are always friendly and helpful and seem happy to be working together. Ask them for the best selections on the menu. They are always honest with my boyfriend and me. Their antipasti is AMAZING and the osso buco is the best i've ever had. They are now offering 1/2 portions of many dishes which is Plenty to eat and makes Radici affordable to any budget.
I don't know what these other people are talking about?? Maybe since Radici has changed owners.... A lot of these other reviews are out of date (2005)and if you prefer the olive garden over radici you should probably stick to newington and stay out of local cuisine!
Also, BIG SAL, if you read all of your other reviews so far the only place you've liked is d'angelo sub shop??!!?
My husband and I went here over the weekend and the food was fabulous! I had Butternut Squash Ravioli and my husband had Seafood Ravioli, both were great. The service was excellent, ambiance was great, will definately go back again when in Portsmouth!
Looking at the menu online is very deceiving. Sure, the menu SOUNDS good, but if the chefs can't back it up, it doesn't count. To be honest, we could have had a better meal, faster service and paid less had we just gone to the Olive Garden. Radici is not all it is cracked up to be. I do not recommend it.
The menu was tempting, so we went. The ambiance ia alright, service was clueless. They have no idea that red wined and white wine should be served in different glasses. The food was alright, but certainly not good value for money.
No, I would not recommend it.
