Recently had dinner at J.P Stephens Restaurant (used to be Lilly's on the Pond). Food was pretty good, service was good, prices were fair. The nachos appetizer was pretty good with a reasonable amount of cheese, tomatoes, peppers, onions and jalapenos. They do charge extra to get chili on them. The Caesar Salad entree with grilled chicken was very good, nicely seasoned with garlic. I had the Cajun Style Sirloin. The meat was tastefully seasoned, the backed potato was fluffy without being overdone, and the vegetables were cooked enough without becoming mushy. The meat was nice and lean, but very slightly undercooked. I ordered medium and it came slightly redder than I expected, more medium-rare. Better that though than over-cooked and tough. All the cooked food arrived nice and warm. We did have to wait some between courses, but better that than having the food undercooked or dried out under a heat lamp. Personally I found the decor in the main part of the dinning room a bit dark, particular the wall coloring. The rear room has larger windows which help the atmosphere greatly. We'll probably go back again.
