This was a decent place to eat. The beer was good, but my steak was undercooked, I ordered medium well and I got a medium rare. The beer menu was confusing because they have a NOW BREWING list of beers and when I went to order off the list none of the beers were available. The server explained that the NOW BREWING list is for beers they will be serving in the future. Whats the point? Since I won t be there in the future, I could care less about that, I want a beer NOW, in the PRESENT, not in the future!. I didn t realize it, but this place really caters to the college students, preppies were everywhere, and they are REALLY LOUD!!!!!! Not a big deal, but I gotta say at 49years old and a Retired Army MP Sergeant, I really didn t care for the 20 something host calling me dude as he showed me where my daughters were sitting. Service was just OK and the speed in which the food was delivered was normal. Food quality was OK. the best thing about this place was that it s loacted in an old mill with a very cool makeover to a mall.
as much as i like the place, they are over taxing every item. there are charging more than the 9% food tax and the management does not seem to care. until they fix this problem i will not be back. which is a shame because i really like the place.
I am a Keene State Alumni, and I miss this place. A few items on the menu that are amazing.....honey mustard wings, crab bisque (I get it every time I go there), any burger (especially the Blues Burger), and the taco salad. Wash that down with a few of their deliciously fresh tasting beers (Keene Kolsch is my favorite) and this is a must go to spot in Keene, NH. I recommend Happy Hour!
Had a very bad experience at this Brewery. The beer is decent and the atmosphere is cool, but the service we received was horrible. First off, the hostess made rude faces at us when we decided we wanted to be seated outside. Second, our waiter was absent: we went 30 minutes without seeing him at one point. Our food took 45 mintues to prepare (chix sandwhich, nachos, and 2 kids meals).
Fourth, the kids meals my sons ordered were a joke; overcooked, small, chicken tenders, with like 5 fries.
How hard is it to be nice to your customers, keep them informed, and provide decent fried food? What a disappointment!
Best place in Keene to go for food. I live in MA about 45 min away, and I go at least once a month. The staff is always friendly and does an excellent job.
The taco salad, pork tenderloin, and the *sausage and stuffed shells* are my favorite entree's. For a stater I usually get the potato pancake with sour cream and apple sauce.
The beers are hit or miss but the food is decent and reasonably priced. Overall it is fun experience and worth checking out. I recommend the beer sampler. You choose four beers, in four ounce glasses for four bucks. That way you can find a beer that you like.
Didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered a philly steak wrap, with no Swiss but extra cheddar, and I got a steak wrap with no cheese at all. It was good but not great. The chips and pickle were very good. My husband got the taco salad, and that was also very good. However, when it came time to order dessert, they were out of everything except two choices, on a Saturday afternoon. I got the cheesecake. It was good but nothing special. The portion was on the small size, and it had frozen (thawed) strawberries on it. My husband got the carrot cake. That was much bigger and better quality, the frosting on it was delicious. So, a mixed review.
