The sometimes crusty woman you describe is a downright miserable createn who has no business running a hospitality based establishment like a restaurant. We were at Fresolones on a recent ski weekend and after 15 minutes of trying to get this waitress s attention so we could simply modify our order, the reply we got was, I ll get there when I get there and if you don t like you can leave. Well, guess what? We left and will never return. If the owner can be so conceited to think that customers will put up with her rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional demeanor, good luck. If it weren t for a complete lack of other restaurants in the area, Fresolones would be Fresogonners! Can someone call Restaurant Impossible and spare other people from her wrath?
HORRIBLE!we also experienced this women screaming and kicking people out.She was so rude that 3 of her customers left within an hour.one customer brought in a water bottle and filled it up in the restaurant. She wasn't nice about it she screamed across the counter at. Him an he was trying to explain that he had filled it up in the restaurant. She then told him if he didnt bring it outside she would walk over and throw it out the window! The man nicely still tried to explain and she threatened to call the police. His wife asked the lady if they could have their money back and she said no way. The other man working their tried to get into the cash register to give them their money then she screamed at him to get back inside the kitchen. Then the women gave the couple their food and told them to get out. The couple said to everyone that it was free and they could have it. Nobody wanted it so they took the food and left. About 5minutes later they came in put the food on the counter, and said they were afraid to eat it. As u can see u should never go their.
We absolutely love the pizza at Fresolones. The proprietor is a down to earth, hard working woman with a heart of gold. While on occasion she can be somewhat crusty, usually she's a sweetheart. She frequently works 7 days a week ( often alone ) in a hot kitchen. Sometimes, it has to get to you when people do things that irk you. It is common sense that you don't bring drinks into a restaurant. Yes, she could've been more discrete, but she was provoked by inappropriate patron behavior. She's running a business. Give her a break.
Excellent food and very friendly service. They make you feel like you are a part of the family. And with the new deck overlooking the river and directly across from Whale Tail water park the location can't be beat. Best Pizza and Italian Food north of the North End.
