Very nice atmosphere. The food is great and the place is kept very clean. It's like going to a cabin in the woods for breakfast or lunch. Todd, who is one of the co-owners is very friendly and outgoing, and seats people in a timely manner. I haven't seen anything like what Roy here describes, but I think things have changed tremendously since his visit a few years ago. My wife and I have just started going to Stix, and we are looking forward to our next meal there.
Todd, co-owner of Stix is part of the draw to this great breakfast/lunch restaurant that offers a plethora of choices for either meal. Charming and efficient, he seats folks quickly and hot coffee abounds. The menu is quite diverse and they offer specials such as pumpkin pancakes, etc. Let me share with you that their mac 'n cheese was probably the best we've had in years! You've got to try it, honest! Two of my best friends and I go to Stix every time we go up to that area. In fact, we were there this past weekend (10/1 and 10/2) and ate at Stix both mornings. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!
I went there with my daughter today. Never again. The service was slow and rude. They were slow to clear tables and were just standing around or taking several trips to get one table cleared and ready. It took 15 minutes just to get a cup of coffee once setted. It wasn't like they were slammed, in fact there was empty tables. When the food came it was barely warm. The bacon I ordered was several small broken pieces, not quite bacon bits but what should have been a strip was more like 5 or 6 little pieces. One family of 6 was told that because they were so many that their order wouldn't be taken for some time and that maybe they should leave. The waitress actually stood there waiting for an answer. In the same amount of time, she could have taken their order. There is more to this, but lets just say what I saw was rude and really inappropriate. I have never written something like this and am not a critical person, but this was so bad I felt I needed to. I am a local and always try to promote local business, but not this time.
