The room was lovely. A little dated, but very clean. Great bed, and real wood fireplace! The new chef is fantastic! The food was delicious and very creative. I didn't expect a meal like that so far outside the city. Very Good, though not inexpensive.
We especially enjoyed the ambiance of the main inn and also high tea at 4:00. The owners are delightful and lend a great authenticity to an era. It is in a great setting. Good location for a romantic weekend getaway.
The tv's need to be upgraded and go to dvd rather than vhs.
We spent two nights in this inn and had a wonderful time. Our room had a real working fireplace (not a gas one) and a huge jacuzzi with candles you could light around it. The room also had a small door to the outside. the views from some of these rooms is really pretty. The food was excellent though not in our top five picks for inns we've stayed at. I would recommend one of the small cottages they have. They looked really romantic and cozy. Their beach is across the street so it's not right on the water. The Inn itself is historically beautiful with alot of wood. The Inn sits on a hill so it does have some privacy, however, it's not secluded. It's definitely worth a stay.
