Water Street Cafe
Ted and Jen Roy have proudly owned the Water Street Cafe since August 1988. When they bought it, it was a tiny little coffee shop called LaFlamme's (named for the original owners). The Roy's rebuilt in 1992 and opened their doors as the Water Street Cafe. Prior to them owning the Water Street Cafe, there was either a coffee shop or bakery on this corner location for as many years as locals can remember. It must be a good place! Just come in and taste the difference! Great Dining and Catering in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire
We love this place! We meet for breakfast on Sunday mornings after church and we think that the food is some of the best in the area. The staff is always friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that everyone has a good experience. We highly recommend finding your way to Water Street Café.
When I was in the process of moving here I found this great restaurant. Now it is my favorite spot for breakfast or lunch. They are also open for dinner on Fridays. They make their own delicious bread and wonderful, traditional lobster rolls. The food is scrumptious and the staff is always very friendly. Jan, Laconia
My family has been visiting the Lakes Region for several years, when we stumbled upon this restaurant. It is clean, very important to my wife with our children, and the food was great, hot fresh and cooked what i wanted. Asked for black olives in my florentine omelette and no problem. Also got scalloped potatoes as a choice with my breakfast, pretty creative and different from the norm. Will come back when we get back to town.
We have been visiting the Lakes region since 1984 and found this gem a few years ago. Since then, it has been our favorite place for breakfast and usually the first place we stop. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk in the front door. We have never had to wait for a table or a spot at the bar which is usually occupied by the regulars. This is a place recommended to us by the locals, always a good sign! I appreciate the service, the food and friendliness of everyone who works there. I especially like that the chef makes his rounds in the dining room and takes great pride in the food he puts out. My favorite is the fish chowder while my husband raves about the pancakes. The ingredients are always fresh and the chef is always happy to personalize your order. Love this place!
I was in Laconia for a short vacation and thought I would give this place a try, big mistake! First off after we were seated it took the wait staff a good half an hour before they even acknowledged us and came over to take our drink order, then after ordering I had to send my food back as it was not cooked thoroughly (sending something back normally wouldn't bother me but the waiter acted like it was a huge inconvenience). Overall I definitely try to avoid this place at all cost, there is no need to waste your time at a business that acts as though you are an inconvience to them.
