Chen Yang LI Restaurant Chinese & Japanese Cuisine, Bedford

Being new to NH from NYC we were desperate to find some good Chinese dining, and our first few experiences here were very good. But recently we ordered ahead for a special occasion and we were very disappointed. The food was bland and the special dessert was not what was ordered, despite our previous arrangements.

Chen Yang LI in Bedford NH was my favorite Chinese Restaurant. My wife and I had dinner there Saturday night (Oct-10-2009). I ordered frogs legs and General Tso beef (new menu item). The frogs legs had a thick batter coating on them. Not like I remember them. Horrible! The General Tso beef was supposed to be spicy. The dish was sickly sweet. Horrible! My wife had their Scallops with walnuts. The Scallops had a thick batter coating on them. It also would hard to convince me they were Scallops The dish was supposed to be spicy. It was sickly sweet. Again, horrible! I suppose I could try the one in Bedford but I think all 3 restaurants get their provisions from the same distributer. I'm very disappointed.

Excellent food and very polite service. My family went here with with a large group and everybody was pleased with the food and the service. The portions were large and everything was fresh. We're definitely going back!

The food here is consistently excellent and so is the service. They have a great variety of menu items. Two Brothers Special is a favorite of mine as is Fruit of the Forest. The apps are delicious - high quality, not battered to the max and fried to the extreme. The ambiance is upper scale which is a nice change from your typical chinese restaurant, the place is very clean, and the servers are pleasant and responsive. I highly recommend it. It's a family favorite :).

I was fortunate to try a plethora of items at Chen Yang Li over a span of a few years. Their phoenix soong is a top of the line appetizer, and their strawberry chicken is both unique and delicious. They offer a great variety of authentic Chinese cuisine along with some well loved classics and original dishes. Their staff are polite and quick to serve and their settings are always clean. Overall I would highly recommend dining at Chen Yang Li for any event, whether you are in the craving for some excellent Chinese, or even for hosting clients. Everyone can appreciate some quality food at both of their locations.

Visited here on a trip to my parents, awesome chinese food best in area, very friendly staff.

Everything at this place is great. The food, service, look. And it's among the few Chinese food places that doesn't make me sick.
