Pizzico Ristorante Italiano
Italian food is loved all over, and this little place in Nashua adds its own little bit. The menu starts with the all American and Italian favourite, the Pizza, served with a choice of delicious, juicy and meaty toppings. A delightful range of vegetarian pastas simply cooked with tomato sauce and cheese can be had, but a wider choice is available for non-vegetarians who can try the Linguine Clams or Penne Sausage. The Martini Bar is known all over for its creative concoctions, especially the Cappuccino Martini and The Grape Escape . A well-stocked wine bar is also available for those who like to pair them with Italian dishes. A great place to bring the family and have a leisurely Italian lunch.
Decided to check out a new place to dine in the Nashua area and try Pizzico Italian Restaurant. We started with an appetizer, the arancini (rice ball) - when served, the rice ball was frozen inside and therefore not made fresh. Then we decided to order a Barbeque Chicken Pizza; this was by far the worst pizza we have ever eaten, absolutely awful!!! It did not contain all the ingredients listed on the menu, the chicken was extremely dry and the barbeque sauce was the worst tasting barbeque sauce ever. The price for the pizza was 18.99 and was not worth a penny. Will never eat at Pizzico Italian Restaurant again! Would much rather have eaten at any fast food pizza place or at Giorgios or Angela's Wood Fire Pizza for gourmet 'upscale' pizza.
Waitress had no personality. Neither did the food. Muscles tasted to much much like seafood for me and their cheese ravioli was hard, barely cooked, and generic tasting. The lasagna was better but still had a flavor similar to canned meat ravioli. The chicken parmasian was over cooked and tough. Overal the price was a little bit on the high side and with the way everything was cooked it just wasn't worth it.
Hands down, the best pizza north of Boston. All of their meals are excellent, my personal favorite being the veal or chicken cacciotori.
The service is very friendly, and the restaurant has a nice, family feel to it. I would highly recommend it!
This is not just a Pizza place as it would seem by the name. It is small in size but packs excellent food. Upon seating you will see a variety of delectable desserts to choose after you meal so make sure you leave some room. Great variety of foods and friendly wait staff. The portions are good and taste is fantastic. Prices are some what on the higher end but not totally unreasonable. My last visit here I ordered the chicken parmesan which was wonderful. My son got cheese stuffed ravioli which he was able to take some home because he could not finish it all. Maybe because he kept stealing bites from my plate after having a taste and decided it was just a good as his own. My mother order lobster ravioli and also highly enjoyed her meal. This restaurant is one of my top 5 of where to go for a great meal.
You''ll not be going back to all the chain restaurants in the area when you try Pizzico. Pizza, pasta, and more....I have never had a bad meal there. If they don't have it on the menu and you want it ask...they will do a special for you. House salad dressing and salad is very good. Desserts are fantastic. Service can be a little slow at busy times. Again, don't waste money on Olive Garden , Lui Luis , Carraba's etc. You'll be happy you tried Pizzico.
