Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel
Various concerts are held at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, situated in the Strand Theatre. So go ahead and head downtown to book tickets to your favorite concert. You can even reserve seats for certain shows. But make sure you book a comfortable seat well in advance because bookings fill in pretty fast. While booking your seats, you may want to inquire about the mezzanine seats, which are provided for certain shows only. They constitute the first ten rows and offer a great view.
Totally sucked. I was there last night and we waited all night for Lingo who by far were the best last night. They sold the most tickets and for that Lupo's only gave them less than 10 mins. at the end of the night while all the others were up for at leat 1/2 hr. each. They saved the best for last so that everyone there would stay and keep buying drinks. Well, if that's how you treat your people you can shove Lupos. The staff was so rude and unwelcoming. I heard so much about this place and it was all untrue. The place is a joke. If Lupo's deletes this it's cause they don't want the truth out.
I wrote a review here last night and it was deleted. That says it all. Lupo's is the worst club I have ever been to. The staff was rude. The bartenders were inept and charged me different prices every time I bought a drink. It was about eighty degrees inside. I paid $100 for two mezzanine tickets and the sound was horrible. Halfway through the show I went to get a bottle of water and the bar was closed. To top it off I slipped down the stairs because of liquid on the floor and when I politely suggested they have someone mop it up the staff member shrugged. I will never go back to Lupo's no matter who is playing there. And to the Lupite who gets paid to delete reviews that tell the truth, you know I'm right.
Lupo's THE place for live music, bands, and concerts in Providence. Who's playing this weekend? Check out the back cover of The Providence Phoenix newspaper for this weekend's shows and all the upcoming shows.
What ever happened to the Complex in down town Providence. It used to be a hoppin night club on the weekends and there were always plenty of people that went there. Did they close up or something? I liked it because there was 4 clube in one building. If you didn't like the music then you could move to the next room or go to the next floor.
From the moment I walked in the architecture was magnificent. It all depends on what show you're going to and the show that I went to was Social-D with Tiger Army and The Explosion. Everything about Lupo's was awesome and the staff were welcoming as well.
