Pizza Place, Westerly

$16 for a 16inch pizza is a little $$$$ , especially when you find a hair in it as soon as you open the box! Also the kids working here are'nt too interested in customer service. I will spend money on quality , but this place is not anywhere I will go again after 3 strikes

I have never had as bad an experience at ANY restaurant than what we had at Pizza Place Pie & Suds. Initially we were told we would have a 5 minute wait. We questioned this as we saw most of the tables did not have food and tons of dishes were backed up at the counter waiting to be served. The hostess assured us that we would be seated soon. 35 minutes later we were shown to a table. Our waitress came over fairly promptly and asked what we wanted to drink. As we had two small kids and it was getting late (and we had had plenty of time to review the menu) we ordered everything right then and there. 40 minutes later I went searching for our waitress to ask if we could at least get the salad we ordered. She did apoligize for the delay - explaining that they had a large number of take outs taking priority that evening. (Had I known that I would have gotten quicker service if I had called my order in instead of giving it to our waitress, I would have.) Eventually we got the salad. After a total off two hours since we had first arrived, I searched for my waitress again and she could not give me a definitive time when we would get our pizza. Others who had come in long after us were eating but no one could say why we had not gotten our food or when we would get it. (Apparently it is not a first come first served restaurant - with orders filled as thecooking staff feels.) As it was long past our kids bedtime at this point, we left and went to McDonalds. Obviously the restaurant was understaffed and not prepared for diners that evening, but no one seemed to be in charge and certainly no one tried to appease (much less please) us or others who had to put up with their bad operation. I cannot comment on how good the food is at the restaruant, but I can say if you want a misrable dining experience, go to this restaurant. By the way, the McDonalds, was McDonalds, but at least we got the food while we were still on our vacation.

i wouldn't say they provide the best service (not rude.. just not overly friendly.. also they tend to 'forget' about you... problem is best avoided by just ordering pizza to go)... but no worries, as the pizza and the chopped pasta salad make up for it.. prices are decent...

While the food is good, the hours are unpredictable. It frequently closes early if business is slow. We decided tonight was the end for us when we arrived at 7:45 to find the staff cleaning up and unwilling to serve us. Why go there if you can't count on the place being open? We'll miss the food but not the lazy attitude.

Good pizza absolutely awful service. You go in there and you can just tell no one's in charge. The waitstaff (all girls) are snotty and not helpful. Our waitress was too busy chatting to even acknowledge that we sat down and were waiting to order drinks. It's pretty poor if you are ready to order your food by the time the waitress comes around to take drink orders.

There is no better pizza joint in the whole area - hands down! We go there almost every week because we just can't find a better all around meal. The margarita pizza, thai chicken and BBQ chicken pizzas are my favorite. The foccacia is delicious but if you want a real treat, splurge for the bruschetta. It's fantastic and addicting! Don't forget to order a salad. There's nothing better than the chopped pasta salad. Yummy!

pizza place is accually really good... esspecially if you add their homemade parmesean cheese onto it... the plain mozzerella (cheese) pizza is by far the best... pizza's are a little on the smaller side...but its outruled by how good the food is there

Pizza place is defintly a great place just because of its casual enviroment and delicious food.They have everything from pizza to the best salads around to devine desserts, which makes this a great place for a reomantic night out or family fun night. Overall its nothing like anything else and its thin crust pizzas and whole weat specials sure make you feel in heavon

salad was poorly made (chicken cubes were huge, old mushrooms, and soggy gorgenzola). Pizza was difficult to eat, we had the Rosie's special which is a plain pie with tomatoes and bacon but it was so watery that the tomatoes and bacon which where on top just slipped off on the drive home.

We drive from West Warwick to Westerly, just for the gorgonzola salad and pizza. Nothing better in the state!!
