Catarina's Italian Village, Narragansett

Just spent the most memorable Valentine's evening enjoying a superb meal at Catarina's. The five course dinner was excellent and what a value at $75 per couple. The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in and our waitress made our night relaxing and fun.What a great find. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. It will be well worth the trip to Narragansett. The views of the bridge at night are fantastic and we sat by a cozy fireplace while enjoying our meal. We had the shrimp and veal with a bernaise sauce and the surf and turf. The appetizers were tasty, bruschetta and fried calamari and the gorgonzola walnut salad was delightful. They have an extensive wine selection and offer many after dinner drinks and cordials. The desserts are homemade , we had tiramisu and chocolate mousse and a nice espresso and decaf cappuccino.

By far the worse service I have ever experienced. It was our wedding anniv. and it got to the point that we just had to laugh, I was not going to let it spoil the evening. Everyone got water and bread but us, everyone was offered the specials and pre fixe, not us. The food was okay, nothing special so that didn't even make up for the bad service. If she was new then shame on others not helping her out. When we did finally asked the hostess to get our check, she didn't. We could not believe it, will never go back or recommend to anyone. We have always been pleased with the Italian Village and was shocked at how completly opposite everything was at Catarina's.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times, each time vowing not to return. The service is poor and the food is not very good. It's too bad too as it is convenient and the prices are fair.

I was freezing. I keep my coat on for the length of the meal. It was colder inside than it was out side. Food was average price was cheap.. so was the investment in changing the interior. I'll never go back !! You can sell dinners with a bottle of wine for $12.00 the place will stay empty until you fix the heat!

I absolutly loved this place. Even though it is about an hour drive from my house i can wait to go back everytime I have an opportunity. I bring friends all the time. We all love the food, the ambiance and specially the food.

My husband and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, the service was great as was the food. I would highly recommend the restaurant to others. It was fairly priced.

I love the food . Every dinner I've had was excellent.The wait staff are great. I like taking my family & friends their. We try to get their as offen as possible.We love the atmosphere also.

The food & service was awesome! The woodstove was lit just in time for the cold weather. Recommend it to anybody who wants great food & great ambiance.

They have dinner for 2 w/ bottle of wine every Tue Wed Thu. Went there for the first time last night. Great atmosphere. Food was excellent and it didn't take long for it to come out. Good size portions too.

THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! WORTH PAYING A LITTLE EXTRA. THE PRICES ARE MODERATE BUT NOT TOO EXPENSIVE. A MUST FOR EVERYONE WHO VISITS SOUTH COUNTY. FOOD CAME OUT PRETTY FAST CONSIDERING THE PLACE WAS PACKED.
