Jimmy's Saloon, Newport

First off, I have been to Jimmy's many times and have always had a great time. Never wrote a review before. I was inspired by how much fun I had at their Halloween party. It rocked!!! The bartenders, crowd, bands, costumes were all amazing. It felt like a party a bunch of friends put together....and a lot of people showed up. Bill S.

Friendly bartenders and staff, THE BEST SANDWICH IN NEWPORT!! The cook is a doll and man can she cook! Try the chili, but be forewarned... it is HOT! A great hang out spot for celebrities and common folk alike!

We come to Newport from Ohio just to see Jackie, the BEST bartender in the BEST Newport bar! We always feel completely welcome, at home, and have a great time! There is nothing better on a vacation than to walk into a place where the employees and local patrons remember you, call you by name, and make you feel right at home. This is our favorite neighborhood gathering spot and we don't mind the 12 hour drive to get there. BTW, the stuffies and Bev's clam chowder are at the top of the list too!

Best Bar in Newport: I come to Newport on weekends from Boston and head right to Jimmy's. feels like home. Friendly bartenders and locals hangout. Great pool tables and darts. Prices are reasonable for Newport. Not a tourist trap like downtown. Entertainment on weekends. small menu with good sandwiches.
