@ the Deck, Newport

Absolute dissapointment. My wife took me here for Fathers day and I ended up wishing she took me to BK. Tiny tight dining room, service was slow, my wife expressed her dissapointment with the worst tuna she ever saw and all they did was take it away for her, no replacement, no substitute, not even a free drink. We ended up paying $100 for my chicken plate and 2 glasses of wine. They wouldn't even take our wine off the bill. I will never go to this restaurant again. You should try looking anywhere else in Newport and you will be more happy with your choice. The lowest rating this site allowed was a 1, if there was a zero this place would have gotten that.

This restaurant is a disgrace. Rude and extremely arrogant staff. Were refused when asked to speak with management. Half of our order came out after 45 minutes the other half came an hour and a half later. After having no food for an hour we asked for our money back and were told that that was not possible. I will never go back and would not recommend @ the deck!

Have not been to Newport in a while, decided to go for dinner and try an old favorite. I must tell you the food was outstanding, better than I remembered, and the staff was friendly and familiar! The atmosphere is still cozy but they definitely had a face-lift @ The Deck would highly recommend!

This is the place! What a great find. Had an incredible filet with blue cheese on Easter weekend. Off the beaten track and great atmosphere. My wife loved the swordfish. Highly recommended.

This hard to find restaurant/ patio boasts a great view of the harbor, but that is about the only perk. The deck menu offered a limited selection that was medicore at best, yet still had a hefty price tag. And the ladies' room resembled an outhouse more than anything else.

Love the food!!!! Hate walking through the loud singles bar scene going to a nice dinner. The food is always excellent...the swordfish is the best. Lobster perfect and the filet melts.

I can safely say this was the best breakfast/brunch I've ever had. I had steak & eggs (filet mignon and eggs benedict). The plate was elegant & colorful and every ingredient (including acorn squash puree and string beans) was delicious and masterfully prepared. The service was outstanding (warm and professional). The ambiance was comfortable and down-to-earth. Sublime. Oh, did I mention my brunch was only $14.50?!

We were looking for a nice restaurant for our winter weekend in Newport and decided to try The West Deck. Certainly from the outside it was unassuming to say the least, but once inside we were seated at a nice table with a view of the sunset over the harbor. To start I had a Bermuda fish chowder made with rum and pepper sauce that was very flavorful. This was followed by rack of lamb with crushed Pistachio nuts in a pomegranate reduction perfectly wonderful. I had a nice Shiraz available by the glass that hit the spot. Desert was a good key lime tart and black coffe I certainly will put The West Deck on top of my list for Newport.

It's always nice to have dinner in view of the harbor, and it helps that the West Deck waitstaff are friendly, and that the food is good. Too bad the deck is closed in the winter!

We thought the staff was very welcoming and professional. The food was exceptional right down to each vegetable. It was presented very well. We were too full for dessert because we ate everything on our plate! My husband stated it was the best tuna he has ever had and he can't wait to go back again. We wish you much success, West Deck!!
