Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant
April 16, 2013 lunch. Amidst the top of the line and the hole in the wall cheapies, this is the Worst place in Newport. This place is super friendly while you wait for a table. One we were seated, our server was unfriendly and business like. No warmth at all. The lobster ravioli was either overcooked or old at least the lobster component. The pasta component (ravioli outside) was slimy, not firm and tasty. The server did not apologize when we told her. She looked at me until I asked her to take it back, and please bring a menu. I didn t bother ordering anything else for myself. I did order my child something else, this time from the kid menu, which was good. The bread and coffee were ok. Not bad, not great. There is one kind of red sauce for everything and it s spicy, even used on the kids menu, which they do not modify and do not appreciate if you inquire. There is no flexibilty to alter dishes slightly. A manager did not come by to inquire about the sent back food.
