Bethany's Airport Diner, Block Island

As long time Island visitors (we have owned a home on the Island since 1976) we decided to visit the new Airport and grab a bite to eat at Bethany's Airport Diner. We had fond memories of eating at the place in the past and we were looking forward to eating at the new facility. Boy were we in for a disappointment.   Outside the tables were dirty and plates were piled high full of food.  Flies were everywhere. Undaunted we went inside and sat down at the best table we could find.   Unfortunately, we were immediately met with a rude waitress and owner who asked us to move to a smaller table. We did not. Then we wanted to order lunch (at 11:50 AM).  We were told to wait until 12 Noon for the lunch menu. We walked out.  Never to return.
