No Problemo is a quintessential Mexican taqueria. Tuck into hearty portions of burritos, quesadillas, tacos and other native staples that are freshly-made from local ingredients and signature sauces. Specialties include zapata stuffed with rice, black beans, guacamole and red peppers; three cheese quesadilla with jack, feta and pepper jack varieties; and taquitos filled with re-fried beans, salsa and sour cream. Their decor of vintage posters, record covers and kitschy trinkets give this place an appealing retro vibe.
I went here for lunch today. I went based on the great reviews. I give it 2 stars for atmosphere. It was dark out dated, old and seating uncomfortable. Prices were very reasonable. Menu was short. Food was good. Service was slow-the bartedar was our waitress and we waited a long time for a tostado salad, chips and salsa and one taco.
Today is a special day for me because I had experienced my first sonogram with my girlfriend. Yes, I am fathering a baby girl into this world – no room for any cumbersome. To top off the afternoon, we decided to eat at a well know restaurant (taqueria) located in the Historic District of downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts. Our menu consisted of Chicken Quesadilla, Three Cheese Quesadilla, and lemonade and mango nectar. I would like to express my humble opinion here – this place really rocks with the food. If you are ever in this town, then stop by No Problemo and get your grub on. You will not be disappointed at all.
If you are looking to try some Mexican Food beyond the local Taco Bell, you may have found No Problemo in downtown New Bedford. It definitely offers a lot of unique selections for burritos and tacos but beyond that, they use a lot of basic ingredients. Unfortunantely, I do a lot of Mexican cooking at home and honestly found their meats to be sorely dissappointing. They sit in a steam bath for goodness knows how long and often the meat tastes over cooked and or stringy. I have much left to be desired in that department but if you are opting for one of their veggie combos then full steam ahead, those always satisfy! It is definitely some of the best Mexican in the area but for the most part, our area is sorely lacking any authentic Mexican food to begin with!
No Problemo's has the best burritos this side of the border. My favorite is the Zeus,a burrito filled with feta, spinach, rice and other good stuff..This eatery is run by some very young amigos who really know how to cook up great unique mexican meals.Their prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is very cool..If you are ever in New Bedford, stop by No Problemo's, its worth it..
