Lobster Pot

Description

With two Provincetown waterfront dining rooms and the Top of the Pot cocktail room, The Lobster Pot offers wonderful views along with prize-winning food. Open nearly year round, this restaurant offers the award-winning Tim's Clam Chowder and won a "Best Of" award from Cape Cod Life . The fresh seafood here is delicious, and chances are you'll see it being brought into the harbor on fishing boats. Ordering their chowder and lobster, and sitting by the water (especially at sunset) will provide a quintessentially great Cape Cod evening.

We were told about the Lobster Pot before we came to the Cape. It was considered a must go. We now own a house on the Cape and make a visit to the Lobster Pot at least twice during the season. The lobster bisque is our overwhelming favorite to start. We have tried everything on the menu and consider all delicious. I also love the salad with the house made dressings. I love to mix up a few on my salad.. wonderful. It's always fun to people watch and enjoy the buzz of activity. We've always been seated upstairs where the view has been terrific. I can't wait to enjoy our visit for 2012! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The McGarveys, PA and Dennis, MA Oh, I also have their cookbook.

Ordered the Lazy Lobster and was terribly disappointed to find out it was full of tiny shrimp and bay scallops! It was a total rip off and they charged $30 (got my money refunded). The restaurant is overpriced and the quality of this meal was less than bad.

Great food. Outstanding service. Fun experience. I go there every year and wouldn't miss any opportunity to eat there. Incredible view as well.

Take your picture outside The Lobster Pot, but you may be disappointed in the food like I was. We were there late with a large party, but I was underwhelmed with the food and service which were both average.

Food was good but the atomsphere was distracting and unenjoyable. Felt rushed and everyone is sitting on top of each other. If you can, take it to go and enjoy in the comfort of your home.

I've been here dozens of times over the last 20 years. It is a must when visiting the Cape and they have some of the best chowder anywhere. Of course I recommend the lobster with the seafood stuffing and the bar tenders make excellent drinks! Seafood apps are awesome too.

I first learned of this restaurant about 12 yrs ago on a bus weekend trip to the cape. The bus driver and travel guide had nothing but great things about the food here. Well I had to try it, and The scenery of the bay and the food was and still is tops on the cape. They are very much known for their clam chowder and their whole belly clams. I have had chowder and clams from other restaurants on the cape, but this place is Number#1.. If you have time to get to P-Town, you must not leave without trying this place!!
