Excellent menue and fine oceanview dining. Arrive early for the best oceanview seating. Off season they offer a very reasonably priced high quality 3 course dinner with ample portions. Valet parking.

The ambiance was terrific ;picture perfect!It was my parents 60th anniversary and I raved about the O H for so long and I couldn't wait to take them there. I told several people including bartender, hostess, and the person that took my reservation! I was so sad that no one brought a dessert to the table NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE ANNIVERSARY! My dad wanted a simple dinner request and the chef refused!! Again ,very sad not to accomodate ! My mothers dinner was so salty she left it untouched, the waiter never asked what was wrong, needless to say my aunts cat ate a $32.00 dinner!!! I work in a restaurant and would never ignore a 60th anniversary or a simple culinary request!! SHAME on the chef!!!!would never go back unfortunately because of the negligence in service!!!!

I was there with my boyfriend for our first vacation in the cape. I had made reservations, but when we arrived there, the staff said we were not on the list and they asked us to leave! I spoke with the Manager who was absurdly rude and unaccomodating. When we were finally seated, our food was overpriced and poor quality. I couldn't even finish my scallops. We were both so upset and will never go back again.

Dealing with the Manager there is an awful experience, she is so crass and condescending. She wasn't helpful with my reservation and seemed to have little patience with my family. I felt embarrassed that I brought them there. The management has no class and could make any dining experience unpleasurable!

The service is horrible. The Ocean House charges a 20% fee on credit card transacation! They don't tell you about it until you find it on your bank statement. Read more about my true, real life and horrible experience with them: My bill came to $21.00 for take out on a dessert. I paid with my credit card and did not apply a tip because it was take out. When I checked my banking statement, the restaurant had taken the liberty of adding $4.20 to my bill. When I called and spoke with the manager, she hung up on my twice. My third call she said that she did not add a tip to the bill, but that my bank had charged me a 20% fee for using my credit card at the restaurant. I called Bank of America and they said that there is no such fee, nor would there ever be a fee for using my card at a restaurant. I called the manager back and she told me I was a fool. I told her that even though it was a small amount of money, it was the principal behind the matter and that she should not do this to customers. She said it happens all the time and its not her problem. I said, it surely is, I think that she is charging customers the merchandising fee for using a credit card vendor instead of having the restaurant pay for the credit card vending fee. This restaurant is ripping of 20% of every customer making a credit card purchase.

The food was very good. The location must be what keeps this place in business because I found the management to be quite pretentious. I will not be coming back there for sure.

We celebrated our parents' 60th wedding anniversary and we were delighted with the setting, service and food quality. The view was fantastic with beautiful sunset colors. Our server was gracious, knowlegable and very helpful in making our dinner selections. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Thank you Ocean House for a memorable evening! I just love this place, I've been before and always thought it was great but recently I became vegan and was worried about them being able to accomodate my new rather strict dietary requirements - I called in advance to tell them and there was no problem. They made me a DELICIOUS pasta dish and even made me up a beautiful fresh fruit plate for desert! The staff was kind and helpful, the food was delivered promptly and it was reasonably priced. Loved it!

i love the fact that it is casual dress,yet the servers look sharp in their crispy white shirt black tie shirts. my husband and i have had many anniversary dinners at the ocean house. it is a dining pleasure. there is no rush,we love to sip on the signature martinis. we do miss the breadstix,please get them back! great food,great service! the view....like being on a cruise ship! yes,it is pricey,but you do get what you pay for!

We bring all our house guests here for a most memorable evening. We have been going here for years and it is always wonderful! if you are visiting Cape Cod be sure to visit teh Ocean House!
