Nestled in the center of Nantucket's historic downtown, American Seasons offers some of the island's most creative food, along with a one-of-a-kind boutique wine list. Join us as we celebrate our 20th season. Located at the end of historic Centre Street in one of the island's oldest restaurant sites, American Seasons is widely considered to be one of Nantucket's premier dining destinations. The kitchen, helmed by Chef Michael LaScola, is renowned for its playful twists on American favorites. Chef LaScola's emphasis on regional and seasonal produce is paired with Sommelier Orla Murphy LaScola's equally creative wine list. Featuring over 500, American-produced wines, American Seasons' award-winning, hard-to-get list is admired and emulated across the country.Cozy yet bustling, the candlelit dining room is adorned by Americana memorabilia, game board tables and harvest murals. During the summer, hand hammered copper tables provide al fresco dining on the restaurant's covered patio.
We loved American Seasons we tried many Restaurants while on Nantucket, nothing was even close to american seasons, it was un pretentious, relaxing, friendly and inventive, from the wine list on through to the food. You can feel that everyone who works there loves it. it was not easy to get a reservation but we did and that was worth the aggravation...this is a couple to watch.
A local spoke highly of this place so we checked it out. The menu is devided between New England, down South, Pacific and Southwest so there is something for everyone Our meal was fabulous, the best food and wine we had the whole trip!
American seasons, was fun funky flawless and mostly different from everything else offered locally, we are from london and thought they give ant restaurant there a run for their money.....give them a try, inventive menu, exceptioal wine list,
Way too loud. Too dark, couldn't see the food. Wine list good, but over priced. It seemed like it was the servers first day. She didn't know anything about the menu. Food was good, but it seemed like there was too much going on. Desserts very boring.
One of the best resturants on Nantucket island just happened to be across the street from our Guest House.
The menu is divided into four regions. Pacific Coast, Down South, Wild West, and New England. Each region contains new and traditional ingredients and cooking techniques that are indigenous to that region of America. The flavors and presentation are big, bold, and exciting. I had the salmon dish from the Pacific Coast menu which was melt in your mouth yummy. My sister had the Tuna. Divine. My mother had a pork dish from the Down South menu. Delish. The wine list was fantastic and we had a nice chard.
We might have been the only women in the resturant without one of those wicker nantucket basket purses.
we loved this restaurant, it is lively, fun the staff knowledgeble & helpful, the food was awesome, not a place for kids, get a babysitter.....wine list is all american the best we have seen, Chef LaScola is a rising talent and you can tell the staff loves the restaurant.
This cozy restaurant seems to be a local and in-the-know tourist spot hidden away on the edge of town. THis was the best food we had while visiting Nantucket and the best priced. Adorable! We Will be back !
