For over 20 years, DeMarco Restaurant has provided authentic Northern Italian cuisine to the citizens and visitors of Nantucket. With its warm and romantic atmosphere, DeMarco is an excellent place to partake of a real Italian menu, including Tagliata di manzo (finely sliced filet mignon in a Portobella red wine sauce), Aragosta (grilled lobster tail with rucola pesto), and Linguine with Littleneck clams, pancetta, white wine and plenty of garlic. DeMarco's also offers beer, wine and a full array of drinks. The restauraant remains open through the months of May to October.

Demarco is one of the best places to have dinner on the island. It is Italian themed but the menu is very creative. The foods are rich as well as the portions. The staff is very knowledgeable about wine and food pairing so use them if planning to get a bottle!

Nothing memorable...and certainly seriously overrated for the price. Our server could not be bothered to come over to take our drink order for 10 minutes. Appetizer was OK, entrees were good, but, truly, after waiting 50 minutes for them to arrive -- we had been hoping that they would be great. We asked for the check the moment the entrees arrived and were out the door in 15, headed to the Juice Bar for ice cream. It redeemed the evening.

If you're coming to Nantucket for Italian food, this is the place. Upscale, great ingredients, attentive service and a warm welcome. Pricy, but this is Nantucket-what isn't?

A longtime favorite, always on the recommended list, but we've had uneven food and service and find it a limited menu, but classic Italian dishes. Charming atmosphere downstairs, upstairs a bit cramped. Lively and attractive bar.

for a restaurant with a great reputation, my experience was awful. while one waiter, for the next table, was knowledgeable and attentive to his guests, ours was ignorant, unavailable, and non-responsive to simple requests, which had to be repeated 3 times. wait staff simply stood and chatted in the corner. i will never go back, and encourage others to skip it. we had to stand up to get the check!
