Beehive Tavern, East Sandwich

My friend and I came in for lunch here yesterday. We ordered the Quoahog & chowder combo. It was awful. The Quoahog was all stuffing, I couldn t even eat it. The chowder was so Gritty and watered down. We asked what was on Draft , they had 2 beers to sepect from, that s it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have been to the Bee Hive on many occasions and have always had an outstanding meal. Very homemade! The best spot for duck on the Cape. The service has always been good and the ownert has always checked on our satisfaction.

My husband,granddaughter & I stopped here last night. We have been coming here for years and it has always been good. However, I ordered the seafood platter priced @ $20.99, and it was not worth the $$$. Way overpriced for what you received on the plate. My husband ordered a Quoahog & chowder combo. The quoahog was also not worth the $$$. With so many other restaurants in the vicinity we'll have to think long and hard about returning.We would not recommend the restaurant to any of our friends as we have in the past. If they realigned their prices and had the staff dress in similar attire they'd improve greatly.

My husband and I stopped at the Bee Hive Tavern for lunch on August 8, 2008, and the food was excellent. My husband had a shrimp casserole that he claims was the best meal of our entire vacation in Cape Cod. I had clams that were delicious. The sweet potato fries were delicious as well. If we ever make it back to Sandwich, MA we will definite stop by the Bee Hive again.

I was pretty excited to try this place, but I must admit, I was pretty disappointed. The rolls ought to have been very good, but they were microwaved within an inch of their lives, onion soup smelled and looked just right, but tasted so strongly of pepper that there was no other flavor left, and the french fries were downright soggy. I was seriously looking forward to dessert (gingerbread) but it too was microwaved into dry oblivion. Too bad. The prices were way too high for the food to be so mediocre.
