Busy Bee Restaurant
This is a breakfast spot/diner with an extensive menu at dirt-cheap prices. Get past the nondescript exterior to find an establishment that has been doing business for decades. Service is fast and swift, so it is a great place to head for one of those quick-yet-satisfying meals. Regulars have been returning here for decades for heart-stopping breakfast platters and lunch and dinner specials that are easy on the wallet, if not the cholesterol levels.
If you're looking for rude, mean, nasty service, this is the place for you. Sure, it's a diner, and the food is fast and cheap, but the waitresses are miserable and deliberately mean to the customers. I will NEVER go back there again! They are short with the customers, cut you off while you are ordering, and basically bark at you. I would much rather pay more and wait in line to be waited on by a HUMAN BEING! Hey, Donna, wash your hair once in a while. Maybe that will perk you up! And you and Cindy need an attitude adjustment. It's not cute or kitschy. It's downright nasty! They don't even hide the fact that they are talking about the customers. If you are SO miserable working there, GET ANOTHER JOB!!!!! THIS PLACE STINKS!
Great food, ridiculously great prices. Servers short, but in a charming-neighborhood-diner type of way. Can be a bit of a wait on Saturday mornings (they get big breakfast crowds) but it's worth the wait for the price and quality. Closed early on Saturdays and all day Sunday.
First time I went, the waitress was clearly busy and rather short with us, my buddy shot me a look, to which I told him it's not called the friendly bee.
What it is, is a great diner. Good food, cheap food, big menu, fast service. I go there probably once a week, the waitresses have gotten a little more friendly with me (but not much!!). And bring your earplugs, the old guy likes to yell. I love the place.
This is one of those amazing diners that is too quickly being replaced by yet another over-priced coffee chain or low-quality bagel chain. The waitresses are quick, friendly, no-nonsense, and have obviously been doing this for years. The food is terrific, if not all exactly heart-healthy, and the coffee is the best in town. The regulars seem perpetually in animated conversation, usually about the news on the t.v. by the counter. You and a friend can come out full and happy for under $9!
